A headshot that says you’re a Leading Actor

What is it to be a leading actor?   It’s being confident, in control, a collaborator. The kind of person that you would want on your set or in your rehearsal room.   To project this in a headshot, you need to understand that it often takes time, years of knowing what you look like and then learning how to use what you have. It really helps to have a sense of comfort with yourself and how you look. Then, like anything, practice. The more you have your picture taken, the easier it gets and the more you learn what works.    A strong headshot, can have a great knock on effect to your career. It will convey to your agent that you are stepping up. Which will in turn let them know how ambitious you are, giving them more confidence in you. Casting directors, directors and producers will feel like they’re lucky to have you on their set or stage, giving them greater confidence. Even if you tend to work in strong supporting roles, a headshot of this caliber is essential to get you seen for higher profile projects.     2159 0 2159 0 2159 0 2159 0 Michael Gould: […]

Al Weaver

It was a pleasure working with Al. Not only did I do his headshot, I did it at his flat, as he wanted to know more about his self taping kit. We did his headshots then I showed him how best to light himself, use his camera, and suggested a couple in-expensive bits of kit he could get to make the quility better and a bit easier.

3 Actors in Star Wars

If I were an actor, one thing on my bucket list would be to be in Star Wars. Well these three amazing actors, that I have recently taken their headshots have done just that.               First we have Michael Gould who played – Admiral Gorin and got to plough his destroyer into another ship. Next the amazing Sharon Duncan-Brewster playing – Senator Pamlo And last but not least Robin Pearce playing – Rebel Tech, at the main table and operations of the rebel base.

Angela Griffin

Currently in One Man Two Guvnors both Angela and Kelly (Shirley) came to me on the same day. It was great fun swapping between the two of them, while I was shooting one the other would be snapping pics on their phone tweeting or doing their hair ready to step in.  Angela and the rest of the cast are just about to finish One Man Two Guvnors therefore thought a Jon Holloway headshot would be a good way to step back into auditioning for new projects.

Aaron Pierre

It was a pleasure taking Aaron’s Headshot. He asked me in advance if we could go outside which I was more than happy to do. Just fave minuets away from my studio there is great quiet location where I can control the light outdoors.
